Danny Trejo let it be known that “Machete” was on the way, but he also dropped another bit of news: Despite widespread reports to the contrary, Danny Trejo has not been cast in Sylvester Stallone’s action flick throwback, The Expendables.For awhile now many have read/speculated that Trejo’s character in “The Expendables” would be one of the actor’s trademark thugs; many were looking forward to Trejo throwing-down with the likes of Sly Stallone, Jason Statham and Let Li. Unfortunately, Danny will not be apart of the project also featuring, Charisma Carpenter.

Rumors were pointing fingers to Transformers star, Megan Fox, to star as “Buffy” in the ‘Buffy reboot’ film, but as it turns out, such is not the case.

‘Buffy’ producer Roy Lee has put the kibosh on that one, informing fans that casting hasn’t even begun yet.”The rumors of Megan Fox being involved with Buffy are just rumors,” he says. “As with any film project with a female lead under the age of 30, Megan is the actress that most studios want so it is no surprise her name is mentioned. While I think she would be great for our project, we are still in the early stages of developing the script.”

Megan Fox is allegedly stealing another franchise role. IGN reports that she’s being considered for the reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The role of ‘Buffy’ was made popular and famous by Sarah Michelle Gellar in the television series.

Fox is being eyed to play the title role of Buffy Summers in the recently announced big-screen relaunch of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The new movie will not involve Joss Whedon or be tied in anyway to either the 1992 film or the TV series starring Sarah Michelle Gellar that followed.

Hmm, disappointing. Bring back the television cast. Everyone wants it!
