Charisma Carpenter is moving from Hell-Lay to D’Hara. The geek-bait hottie behind “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel’s” Cordelia Chase will be guest-starring in the second season premiere of “Legend of the Seeker,” the New Zealand-based syndicated fantasy show from executive producers Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert.
Executive Producer Kenneth Biller told a packed room at Comic-Con that Carpenter will appear at Triana, a leather-clad Mord’Sith warrior woman who inflicts pain. So, it’s not that much of a stretch from Buffy-era Cordelia, is it? Footage from the second season promised fans a tear in the veil to the underworld which would release skin-flaying scary creatures bent on wiping out all life at the behest of The Keeper of the Underworld. Plus, at least one hot, leather-clad, girl-on-girl kiss. Based on the reaction in the room, the producers know their audience — that split second snippet got a resounding “Whoo!”
While Carpenter’s Mord’Sith hottie is only on tap for the season premiere, Biller announced that Australian actress Tabrett Bethell, who played Mord’Sith Cara in the season finale, will be joining the cast as a series regular.
The second season of “Legend of the Seeker” premieres in syndication the weekend of Nov. 7. Check your local listings for time and channel.

I also wanted to make a quick mention, it was Charisma’s 39th birthday yesterday. So a huge happy belated birthday to Charisma from us at Charisma Fan!
The Playlist has made a brief summary of the three lead characters in the upcoming, The Expendables film.
Barney Ross (Sly Stallone): Stallone doesn’t write much about him, but his interactions with the other characters explain much without dialogue. Essentially, Ross is by far the oldest of the group, and as such is sort of a mentor to the others. he has individual scenes with each character, where they all end up revealing their insecurities to him through rambling, stop-start macho dialogue. Ross isn’t interested in playing armchair psychiatrist, but rather smoothing out the bumps so that the mission could go smoothly. There’s no origin or flashbacks for this or any other character, and you know Stallone “gets it”- everything you need to know is on the page.
Lee Christmas (Jason Statham): Second-in-command- takes it upon himself to bust every one’s balls, which carries a nice, compensatory weight when we learn he’s having terrible relationship problems with the his flaky lady love Lacy (Charisma Carpenter). He’s also lethal with knives, and carries the most sour disposition of the group – expect scowling.
Bao Thao (Jet Li): A private sort, the Chinese martial artist uses his feet as often as his guns. He is the most lonely of the Expendables, and clearly doesn’t seem to be friends with many of them. He takes quiet moments to speak about his displeasure with their jobs and how he wants a larger cut to sponsor his own charity.
You can expect The Expendables to deliver exactly the kind of movie you hope it would. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, seems to have plenty of tongue-n-cheek moments, as well as varied forms of ass-whupping incorporating everything from martial arts to knives to good ol’ fashioned bullets. Oh and plenty of explosions, as we’ve seen in the behind-the-scenes video clips. If this film ends up PG-13 (which is a possibility), don’t be surprised if you hear the loudest societal groan in known history.
It will shoot its way into theaters everywhere on April 23, 2010. And also stars, Charisma Carpenter, Eric Roberts and Steve Austin.
You can now officially become very excited for Sylvester Stallone’s next project: The Expendables. Early reports are now citing that “The Expendables” is expected to be Sylvester Stallone’s best movie to date.
Stallone, who was nominated for an Oscar for writing the great screenplay (go on, read it) for Rocky in 1979, who penned this film as well, which is about a team of mercenaries whose mission is to overthrow a South American dictator. It’s the first project to emerge from a two-picture deal that Stallone signed with Nu Image/Millennium.
Also on the cast is Jason Statham, Jet Li and Charisma Carpenter.
Sarah Jessica Parker can’t seem to get enough “Sex.” The 44-year-old actress/producer has reportedly purchased the rights to the soon-to-be released novel “Prospect Park West,” a sort of “Sex and the City” meets “Desperate Housewives” penned by New York magazine dating columnist Amy Sohn, with plans to turn the story into a TV show.
“Prospect Park West” follows four mothers living in the baby-buggie-friendly borough of Brooklyn, and is described as a mix of “sex, parenthood and celebrity.”
Though we don’t know much about the characters beyond short descriptions given by Publisher’s Weekly, we thought we’d give SJP a hand and take a stab at casting the series (no word yet on whether Ms. Parker will reserve a role for herself).
Mommy #1: Lizzie, “whose lesbian proclivities mask her loneliness”
“Charmed” star Alyssa Milano (pictured abvove left) is sultry enough to make us want to bat for the other team.
Mommy #2: Rebecca, “whose libidoless spouse prefers his role as dad over husband.”
Keri Russell’s already got the Brooklynite mama-thing down pat — she’s currently raising her son River in the borough.
Mommy #3: Karen, “a social-climbing conniver”
We know “Buffy” star Charisma Carpenter can play catty (Hello, Cordelia!), and it’s been way too long since we’ve seen her pretty face on screen.
Mommy #4: Melora, “a former Manhattanite whose psychiatric maladies are as pathetic as they are numerous”
In her now-defunct series “Cupid,” Sarah Paulson played the titular character’s no-nonsense shrink, but we’re more excited to see her on the couch this time around.
Who would you like to see cast in the possible TV version of “Prospect Park West”?
